Accenture has supported six organisations through their Strategic Projects programme
This year, the Accenture Endowment Fund at the Pontis Foundation, through its Strategic Projects 2021 programme, has supported a number of issues. They range from supporting IT education for pupils, students and adults, to supporting university graduates and entrepreneurial skills in children. The company has also supported developing volunteer skills. Altogether, Accenture has redistributed 46 thousand euros to non-profit organisations.
The highest support in the amount of 20 thousand euros went to the Women Academies programme by Girls in IT. The aim of these courses for women without technical education is to prepare them for work in the field of IT. The organisation selects the participants of the academy primarily based on their determination and motivation to learn and continue to work in the IT sector. At the same time, these women become important role models for other women who have found the courage to enter the world of IT.
As part of the project, five years of the Scratch Match contest have been implemented. It is intended for primary school pupils from 8 to 15 years of age from all over Slovakia. The contestants create projects in a simple programming language called Scratch. Girls can compete in categories for individuals or as teams of three.
